This work is created when I got a material grant from Arts Worcester in 2021. Because of the grant I purchased a Lendrum Spinning Wheel which has a jumbo orifice. I was able to make very bumpy textural art yarn with it.
I dyed wool and alpaca fiber with indigo and spun. I dyed my handspun yarn with indigo I grew in my garden in a middle of a city of Worcester, MA. And I wove all those yarn together and made this poncho.
It is super warm. It is my seed to fashion concept and sheep to shawl process all by my own hand.
